In order to distinguish between overheating (referring to the overheating of the motor itself) and overload (referring to the overload and heavy rotation of the motor) protection, at that time, the motor shell was very hot by hand based on experience. After a period of forced cooling with a large fan, the heat of the motor decreased. Test again, and the spindle motor rotates normally; So far, it is judged that this example is a typical motor overheat fault. After disassembling the spindle motor, after careful inspection, it was found that the bearing of the independent cooling fan motor was damaged and the heat dissipation was poor, which caused the spindle motor overheat alarm, causing the spindle of the CNC lathe to suddenly stop rotating during processing and operation, and the "knife gnawing" fault occurred.
After the independent cooling fan motor is replaced, the CNC lathe processing runs normally and the fault is eliminated. Use the manual JVC jogging mode to adjust the X and Z axes of the lathe to the original point, restart the processing program, and carry out the test run. When the workbench is rapidly fed to the processing position, the spindle still does not rotate. So far, it is confirmed that there is a fault in the AC variable frequency spindle motor speed control system. First, check the LED alarm display of the AC converter control system.
It is analyzed that the spindle motor is controlled by the AC frequency converter (because the machine tool manufacturer does not provide the internal drawing of the AC frequency converter), so the "mathematical fuzzy maintenance method" is adopted. The internal of the AC frequency converter is regarded as a "black box", which can be judged only by checking the status of its external functional interfaces.
